At the moment of its creation, every portrait is a balance between the time available, the place and the willingness of both sides to communicate with one another.
The pictures shown here blur the line between commissioned and personal work. Many of the photos are taken during film productions, for which I am responsible as a cameraman. Other pictures show people whom I have asked to have their photo taken by me.
A wide-open aperture and the available natural light are stylistic devices that support my work as a photographer when portraying people.
